I’m back in the studio working again after failing to get started on a few projects after my trip to Japan.
I think I needed a sense of disjointed apathy to kick start a desire to work with visual formats. I was basically overwhelmed with imagery and a sense of creative purpose while in Hokkaido, so I didn’t have a way to use my libido to purpose with all the collections of visual objects I made over those two weeks.
Three months later, and it’s mid-October, a few days before my 49th birthday, and it occured to me that I know now what I have been thinking about — my creative senses really want to dive forensically into how they piece images together to communicate beyond my own feedback loops.

I’ve started to play around more with collage and lightly washed paints on paper. I think the fragility of paper, the transience of ink washes, and the fluidity of ink on paper tell a story that investigates how thoughts come together. I’ve even thought maybe I am mimicking the probabilistic and deterministic interplay that forms the LLM mechanics of AI. I don’t know. The images in this email are available to buy through direct contact with the artist. Feel free to drop me a note. You can also find me on Twitter. I have yet to create a website for my art. I will done day.
Below is a yet to be named commission in progress for a collector.
